Chegem

Chegem (Russian: Чеге́м) is a town in the Kabardino-Balkar Republic, Russia, located ten kilometers north of Nalchik at 43°16′60″N, 43°7′60″E, at the elevation of about 1,900 m. Population: 17,893 (2002 Census).

Urban-type settlement status granted in 1972; town status since 2000.
