Cheeky Records was founded in 1991 by the producer/remixer Rollo Armstrong, brother of Dido.
After releasing Frankë's - "Understand This Groove" and Gloworm's "I Lift My Cup" the label collapsed due to Rollo's incompetence but was rescued in 1994 by Champion Records and was later bought out by BMG in 1999.
