Chechiş (Hungarian: Kettosmezo) is a village in Bălan Commune, Sălaj County, Romania. It is situated on the Almaş (a Someş river tributary), a creek that flows through Valea Almaşului valley. Chechiş is part of the Meseş ethnographic zone.
