- I got your e-mail. First, I'm completely fine with you contacting me via email, especially since I adopted you. However, the more traditional form of communication on Wikipedia is to contact on talk pages, like I'm doing now. If you wanted to reply to me, you would go to my talk page and leave a message. Some people prefer to have all the conversation on one page, so they will copy & paste items, but that's not required, or they will explicitly state that you should watch their page for a reply or they will watch your page for a reply. It's best to keep all Wikipedia related correspondence on Wikipedia, should there be some confusion or problems, everything you put in here is saved and can be retrieved.
- Anyways, NPOV is very important to us as an encyclopedia. If you haven't yet, you should read WP:NPOV. This is so important, it's actually one of the Five pillars! You might want to look into the Wikipedia:Neutrality Project and help out there. You can also find article that others believe aren't NPOV by looking at Category:NPOV disputes. You'll see there are over 3500 articles. I know it might seem (or might soon seem) like there is so much to do and you must hurry to get through it all. Just do what you can the best you can and don't worry about "getting to it all". There are over 1.5 million article, that's why there are over 3 million users to help with all the tasks. Wikipedia:POV Cleanup might help you in this task as well.
- Citations are important, as we don't all original research so all things need to be verifyable. Look at WP:CITE for how to do citations. I can help you more when you get ready to put your first cite in. In order to mark something in an article that needs a cite, for which you don't know of one or don't want to look for one (which is completely fine), just put {{cn}} which will put a little "flag" that someone else can find a cite for.
- There is only 1 way to "prevent" vandalism: page protection. You can request page protection at WP:RFPP, but this is often a last resort. One of the other 5P's is "anyone can edit". Putting page protection reduces this capability. The good thing, though, is that vandalism is VERY easy to remove! If you go to the "history" tab of an article, see where the vandalism started, click to edit the article before the vandalism, save the page (without making any changes) and the vandalism will be removed. Every version of a page is stored so we can go back in time if needed. A vandal may spend hours messing up a page, but it takes just seconds to undo it. I use a tool call WP:POPUPS that makes doing this even easier. There are several other tools out there for vandalism as well. To learn more about fighting vandalism, take a look at Wikipedia:Vandalism which is the best starting point. If you do remove vandalism, use a warning template on the user's talk page so we know if they do it a lot, they could be blocked (which would help prevent vandalism from just that user). It's all covered on that page.
- Lastly, yes, on my question #4 above: You will have a conflict here, it's just a question of when. Someone won't like an edit you did (and being on vandalism patrol increases the odds of conflict, it's just their nature) and things may heat up. If you are having problems with an issue, there are many things here to help resolve it, but always remain cool and focus on the issue, never the user.

- Hi. To "change the name of an article" you click on the "move" tag at the top of the page, put in the new name and reason and click "Move". You should first check the history of the page to see if it has been moved previously (click the "History" tab at the top of the page) and from there, check the logs (which can be easily done from the history page by clicking "View logs for this page" near the top, where you will see deletions and moves and other actions) to see if it has been moved as well (it's easier to search the logs as the history can be quite long). Checkout WP:MOVE for more detailed information.
- Also, I noticed on my talk page you used the section clear-all template ({{-}}) and then signed your name. That's not really a good idea. Just put the four tilde's after your comments. Some put dashes like me, but that's not required. No need to put them on a separate line with the section clear. --MECU≈talk 19:36, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

- I have no idea. I asked on IRC and someone said maybe that it's actively being worked on, but the tag was put on over a month ago with few edits since. So, I dunno what to tell you. There's other templates for when you're working on an article and you're likely to have an edit conflict, but that template made it seem like you had to discuss edits before on the talk page. To be honest, I wouldn't use that template. You could try asking the user that put it on the page. Look in the history at each version (or the edit summaries) to figure out who did it.
