[edit] Deletion of 'liberals wikipedians' category
Hi. I saw you're (like me) listed in this category which is up for deletion. Hoped you'd like to vote in favor of keeping it... Thanks! Larix 23:32, 19 December 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks for voting! Larix 16:02, 25 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Translation request
did a lot of work on this UNIQLO translation tonight... but it's very incomplete. some sentences were just too complicated for me to translate coherently. some help would be appreciated. i didn't touch the bottom sections at all, though, just the top. Tmkain 13:24, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
- Looks good so far! Hopefully someone can translate the rest. Thanks a lot for your help! —chair lunch dinner™ (talk) 19:14, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Warning to the vandal
Thank you for warning the vandal on Jun Choi's page. You'll see I caught one yesterday. Clearly vandalism to say something's been going on "for months" when the man's been in office 5 weeks. By the way, where can I find the user templates? By the way, if you are one who claims to support good grammar, how can you put up the template that mentions you are one who "rates their professors" [sic] :D ? Bruxism 02:03, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
- No problem... I'm happy to counteract vandalism. The warning templates can be found at WP:VAND. As for that template, how do you know I don't rate others' professors? MUHAHAHA. >:D —chair lunch dinner™ (talk) 02:11, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
-
- Good point! Actually, I meant the user templates for POV, NJ res, et al. Bruxism 02:55, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
- Never mind - I found them. Now if I can only figure out how to line them up right. Bruxism 02:59, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
- Oops... yeah, those are userboxes. I use tables to arrange them... you can find more info and help on tables here. —chair lunch dinner™ (talk) 03:26, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Jimbo Wales' sex life
I assure you, as Jimmety's younger brother I can verify this with personal experience, and his lack thereof. Jack Wales 22:20, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
- An article about anyone's sex life doesn't belong on Wikipedia. —chair lunch dinner™ (talk) 22:23, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] "The Unfuckables"
lol, don't worry, it's ultimately just the circumstances of things. I wonder how long this one'll stick around, and whether or not it'd be gone by now if certain things went differently. Karmafist 22:35, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
- I just read the article, and laughed my ass off. It definitely deserves a place in WP:BJAODN. —chair lunch dinner™ (talk) 22:38, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
- Eh, maybe. I guess i've just become a bit jaded lately. Then again, i'm closing in on 1,000 edits today, so it's getting hard to get excited about the little things. And oh yes, the ultimate stub would likely be an article with one letter, it's questionable if a blank page even is an article, and in order to be a stub, you need to have an article. Oh well, that's for the philosophers to figure out. Talk to you later, my friend. Karmafist 22:45, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
- I was pondering that myself... which came first, the article or the stub? Congrats on the 1000 edit milestone. —chair lunch dinner™ (talk) 22:48, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
- Haven't made it there yet, but i'm closing in. Oh well, I did break the 13,000 edit barrier today, so that's something I guess. Karmafist 22:49, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
- I just had a stupid moment and realized you meant 1000 edits in one day, rather than 1000 total. In that case, you're even more bored than I am... :p —chair lunch dinner™ (talk) 22:52, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
- And not a moment too soon... Eric Netterlund. —chair lunch dinner™ (talk) 22:56, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
- Yep, eh? Jeez, they made a mistake when they decided to piss me off. How many of those things would be deleted by now if things remained the way they were? In any case, it's not out of boredom, but mostly to prove to myself and to others that it can be done. Karmafist 22:58, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
- I don't know the details, but from what I gather, the whole userbox debate is a giant mess... so I've stayed far, far away. —chair lunch dinner™ (talk) 23:05, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] NJ Collaboration of the Week
Thanks for participating in Wikiproject New Jersey. In an attempt to create articles for some of the non-existing pages related to New Jersey, NJCOTW was recently created to bring members of WP:NJ together to work collaboratively on a certain selected topic, which this week is List of Governors of New Jersey. Please help by nominating/voting/commenting on articles on WP:NJCOTW, or by helping to improve articles in the scope of the topic for the NJCOTW. AndyZ 00:52, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] 109th Division (?phantom)
You listed 109th Infantry Division on Formation of the United States Army, but you made it redirect to the 19th Infantry Division, a World War I division which's activation was cancelled. Why?--SOCL 15:25, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Unhappy with censorship
I think what you are doing is fair. I am a big fan of wikipedia but this is my first time posting to the site. How is anyone going to be able to post anything with all these hoops they have to go through? If you have other people posting immoral topics like auto-fellatio and pimping, then I don't see anything wrong with my Freehold Raceway Mall topic or the Deflowering Room topic. Both are true and something I have researched. What more do you want? I just thought it would be cool to actually throw it on wikipedia for everyone to see.
I would like to submit this again. So how about you explain to me what it is exactly that offended you and let me know what I can't say so I can repost this. I'm happy I saved it. The internet is a domain for truth, no matter how immoral or wrong it may be. Thanks. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Thejax (talk • contribs) 02:07, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
- First of all, welcome to Wikipedia! I reverted your edit to Freehold Raceway Mall because Wikipedia does not permit original research, and content must be verifiable. If the information you added has been published by a reliable third-party source, feel free to revert my edit. It isn't about anyone being personally offended, it's just that there are certain rules and standards the Wikipedia community tries to adhere to. And just so you know, even if you didn't save the removed content, it would still be in the page history (see Wikipedia:Reverting).
- If you have any more questions or concerns, feel free to respond on this page. Don't forget to sign your posts with four tildes (like this: ~~~~) —chair lunch dinner™ talk 13:52, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

- Hi, thanks for your reply. The topic about Freehold Raceway Mall is true. I don't understand your original research idea. Original research s what you do to find that the topicd is actually verifiable. I have a few confidential memos from the management of the mall to mall security over this matter. I have obtained these through an anonymous friend who works for the mall's management company Macerich. I also have a newspaper article from the Asbury Park Press pertaining to this matter. I hope that is good enough. And regarding the pictures. These are my pictures. How can I provide proof that the pictures you see are mine? They are on my camera. SO I will revert this and let me know if what I said is ok. I just want to add to wikipedia to make it a better experience for everyone, just like everyone else. Thanks. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Thejax (talk • contribs) 10:22, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

- The Asbury Park Press article is fine, but the confidential memos might not be. WP:RS states "We may not use primary sources whose information has not been made available by a reliable publisher." So unless these memos were published by a newspaper or other media organization (for example), they probably won't suffice. The images are also fine; I only nominated Image:Freehold-dress.jpg and Image:Freehold-legs.jpg for deletion because the context in which they were used didn't seem encyclopedic. But since that's now been addressed with the citation of the APP article, I'll withdraw the nominations. Also, thanks for adding the copyright info for Image:Exam-dress.jpg and Image:Exam-table.jpg. The article Deflowering Room could also use some citations and external links, but assuming the information is verifiable, it looks quite good, especially for one's first article. Thanks for contributing! —chair lunch dinner™ talk 18:33, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

- If you are going to withdraw the nomination, then why are you bothering again. I thought we agreed on this. Come on man. Isn't there people on here that are really vandalizing stuff on here? Can't you bother them instead. I'm sorry if you can;t handle the topic I am posting and that you have to use every single excuse in the wikipedia rules to get rid of it. Hey, what can you do. Some people I guess don't have a full time job. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Thejax (talk • contribs) 11:04, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

- Deflowering Room was deleted not because of me, but because it was tagged as either a hoax or vandalism by several other people. The images are nominated for deletion simply because they are orphaned (not being used on any page). —chair lunch dinner™ talk 16:16, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] User:DCNanney and the report to WP:AIAV
Hi, I saw your report on WP:AIAV about this user. Looking at his contributions, I don't think it's fair to say that he is committing vandalism, but it looks to me more like you are in a content dispute with this user. The information he added to Daily Kos and Markos Moulitsas Zúniga does not qualify as vandalism: it is not patent nonsense, and it's not at all clear it is being added in bad faith. It may very well be WP:NPOV or tendentious editing, but these are content disputes. Please bring this dispute to the talk page of the various articles or to the user's talk page. If the user violates WP:3RR or becomes disruptive, then he can be blocked, but you'd report that in a different area anyway.
WP:AIAV is for WP:V in progress. Looking at User:DCNanney's contributions here, it looks like this user hasn't editted for at least 10 hours. Even if his edits had been blatant vandalism, a block now would not be appropriate, as it would have stopped long ago.... typically if a user has had no activity in the last hour, they are removed from WP:AIAV without a block.
For purposes of transparency, I'll also add a link on User talk:DCNanney linking to this conversation.
Hope this helps, and please feel free to add questions or comments here or on my talk page. --Deville (Talk) 15:12, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the tips... very much appreciated! —chair lunch dinner™ talk 15:26, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
Actually it is vandalism - DCNanny keeps adding patently false information into a biography of a living person. There's really nothing to mediate. There is nothing to suggest that Markos is a socialist - he's a conservative democrat (or as he describes himself, a libertarian democrat). Guettarda 15:13, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Richsexton.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Richsexton.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Chowbok ☠ 19:06, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
