[edit] Architecture Wikiproject

Hi, many thanks for all your architecture and design edits. I was wondering if you might be interested in joining Wikipedia:WikiProject Architecture. Also we've been revamping the Architecture Portal and nominations to Portal:Architecture/Selected picture candidates and Portal:Architecture/Selected article candidates will always be welcome.--Mcginnly 08:58, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome

How are you (apa kabar) Chaerani? And welcome to Wikipedia! Just to let you know, at the Indonesian WikiProject there are a group of editors collaborating to improve the articles related to Indonesia. We hope you can join us to make the project even better!

Here are some Indonesia-related project resources which may be of use:

Hope you find these useful. If not you can improve them, it's Wikipedia!
Okay, happy editing and take care.

Cheers -- Imoeng 12:14, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Indonesia Collaboration

Hey there, I just want to ask for your suggestion. As we all know, there are just few "good" Indonesian articles, which means lots of effort is needed to improve them. What do you reckon about this collaboration plan? Please put any suggestion and respond on the WikiProject's talk page. Cheers, take care -- Imoeng 11:57, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Collaboration

The new collaboration page has been created. For now, it is a "collaboration of the week" with standard rules and stuff, which later we can decide for any changes. But now, lets start nominating articles (one article for each person!) and voting. Please take a look at the page. Cheers -- Imoeng 11:21, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Not toxicodendron

Hi Chaerani - sorry, I don't know what it is; I just know the genus Toxicodendron well enough to know your plant is something different (e.g. all Toxicodendron have compound leaves divided into 3 or more leaflets, your plant has undivided leaves). Try posting it on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Plants to see if any of the regulars there can identify it. Good luck! - MPF 00:06, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Indonesian Project

Gak papa kok, gak usah buru2, hehehe, tapi usahain juga. Soalnya kita lagi agak kekurangan orang nih, kan lingkup projectnya gede banget. Oke2, ditunggu yaa, hehehe. Cheers -- Imoeng 00:46, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Environment

Hi Chaerani, welcome to WikiProject Environment it's good to have you on board. --Alex 08:37, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Urbepedia

Maaf, lambat balasanku...

Urbepedia looks good. I'm impressed to see your article on the KIP there (could that be adapted to here as well?)

my name is Meutia Chaerani from Singapore. I volunteered helped out in the Urbepedia at Urbepedia. It is a newly set up wiki focusing on Urban issues, and currently needing more contributors. I'd like to invite your participation in the wiki. Also need to brainstorm more on how the Urbepedia can be different yet complementing to information already existing in Wikipedia.

We have faced the same issue at Appropedia. I have argued that "encyclopedic" material should not be encouraged - the less overlap, the better.

At this stage, i'm thinking that Urbepedia would be more detailed and more technical, and also acts as repository of best urban practices from around the world, as well as repository of contact information of urban experts. Whereas wikipedia is aimed for a broader audience, the article should be easy to grasp to different kind of people, from kids to adults. In that sense, urbepedia is different from wikipedia, but of course, we can link both wikipedia and urbepedia together in the article page.

Sounds good. Urbepedia could also allow things like original research (e.g. theses), articles or essays with a certain POV (and flagged as such), and project writeups.

We hope that you'd be interested to get involved.

Not right now, I'm sorry - I keep getting involved in things and never get my work done - and if I keep doing this what will I eat? :) But I will keep watching, and will probably get involved at some point.

I also like helping to link relevant wikis together, and I have listed it at WikiIndex:Urbepedia. You may wish to upload the logo and link it there.

Salam... Singkong2005 talk 07:40, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Indonesian Wikibook

I would be glad to help with the Indonesian Wikibook. I cannot help with content because I cannot speak Indonesian, but I am more than happy to help with the naming of pages, organization, etc. -- Think Fast talk 21:37, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikiproject Indonesia Newsletter

WikiProject Indonesia has grown incredibly! Two months ago, when the project was created, there were only two members, but now, we have got over 20 members, and hopefully it will keep increasing. Because of this large number, now WikiProject Indonesia has it's own newsletter, which will be delivered every week on Monday morning, around 22:00 (UTC). If you have any idea and suggestions, please do not hesitate to contribute to the next newsletters. We also need to find a better banner for the newsletter, so just post it on project's talk page. With your help, we can reach the even the impossible goal!
"Bersatu kita teguh, bercerai kita runtuh"
What's new?
Several ways to increase the interactions between editors have been proposed. For now, the best solution would be the IRC Channel just for WikiProject Indonesia. Please go to #wikipedia-id if you have had experiences with IRC Channels. Or read the instructions at Wikipedia:IRC.

Three new barnstar design have been proposed! If you find a great editor with excellent contributions to Indonesia-related articles, give him/her a barnstar, or maybe two or three! See the barnstars at Wikiproject Indonesia Barnstars.

Articles improvements
The previous two weeks were maybe the best and tiring week for some of us. On the good side, we have got a new Good Article, which is Toraja. Congratulations for all editors who have involved in the expansion. Yet we have failed to get two Good Article status, which are Tourism in Indonesia and Indonesia. However with the spirit of 1945 we will always accomplish many things!

Starting this week (October 17), the collaboration durations have been extended, so now we can collaborate to improve a particular article for two weeks straight. Please leave any recommendations or suggestions on the collaboration talk page.

Many thanks to MartinBotII, a state-of-the-art Martinp23's bot for delivering the newsletter

[edit] Java collaboration

Hi Chaerani! Starting today, the Indonesia Collaboration is Java. Come along and help make this an article worthy of the world’s greatest island. There’s a suggested to-do list on the the talk page to which you can add, or just pick a task. All sorts of tasks are required, Images, Citations, Research, Copy Edit; you name it, it needs to be done – this important article needs your help!! Regards -- Imoeng 08:37, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Indonesia Newsletter

Last week, two more members have joined the project, and really boost the progress of articles editing. Danny Yee and Lestari, welcome to the project, hopefully you will enjoy your stay. So, we officially have got 26 members!

More than 440 articles have been tagged with the WikiProject Indonesia template, well done to all editors who have contributed this far. Also, while copy-editing is a very useful thing to do, researching and expanding the article, or maybe one or two sections would be extremely useful, because it is the goal of the collaboration, expanding and getting a good article status.

What's new?
Several ways to increase the interactions between editors have been proposed. For now, the best solution would be the IRC Channel just for WikiProject Indonesia. Please go to #wikipedia-id if you have had experiences with IRC Channels. Or read the instructions at Wikipedia:IRC.

For people who choose not to receive this newsletter, please add your name to this list. Instead of receiving this newsletter, the bot will only send you the link to a particular newsletter.

Articles improvements
We have got another Good Article nomination! Congratulations to all editors, especially Indon, who have improved it significantly, maybe you can give six barnstars. So, with the nomination, we officially have had four good articles. Hopefully we can get plenty good articles in the future, or even featured articles.

The last collaboration was not a huge success, the Pulau Dewata is still a "start" article and has not improved much. However, seems like the collaboration spirit is back and Java has improved gradually, thanks to all editors.

If you prefer to get a link to the next newsletters instead of receiving them, please add your name to this list.

[edit] Indonesia collaboration

Hi Chaerani! It's the last few days of the Garuda Indonesia collaboration. Please contribute!!!

Also, could you please vote for the next fortnight's collaboration? Please vote down the bottom of this page. The collab for the fortnight will be decided this Sunday 26th (or Monday at the latest). By the way, we could also chose Garuda Indonesia for another week.

So please visit and help choose the next article. Any questions/comments, please let me know. I'd love to hear from you particularly if you have any good suggestions! :-) --Merbabu 10:25, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

Hi again, Chaerani! This fortnight we've chosen: >>>Majapahit Kingdom<<<. Please help in referencing, check my newly added headings, improve prose, diagrams, but most importantly is RESEARCH so we can actually grow the article. Any other suggestions for improvement, please leave on the article's talk page. Yes, please discuss on talk page!
Also, can you please post suggestions for the following fortnight's collaboration. Please leave your suggestions at the bottom of this page. Hopefully i will remember to remind you to vote in about a week (someone else remind me!).--Merbabu 14:22, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

Hello there Chaerani. For the next two weeks we have chosen >>>Indonesian War of Independence<<< for the Indonesia Collab. Also, please vote for the next fortnight. Maybe we should chose a stub article. So far, we have had already longish articles and they are therfore hard to expand. Here's a list of Indonesian underdeveloped articles: [1]. Please let me know if you have any suggestions (or if you do not want me to message you about the collabs). kind regards --Merbabu 12:50, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Indonesia slang

Hi, nice to see that you are still active. :-) Yes, I found the article in a really bad condition, full of can't-say-the-word words, so I removed them. The article should explain about the Indonesian slang in linguistics and social perspective, not about listing that kind of words only. I guess wikitionary is the best place to put them. Cheers. — Indon (reply) — 13:23, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

Hi, I removed your adding of the Indonesian name to some Disney Characters per WP:NOT since this is the English Wikipedia. Often those entries turn into lists and are almost always removed.
