Leadership is the art of influencing and directing others in a way that will gain their confidence, respect, and loyal cooperation in achieving a common goal or objective.

[edit] Introduction and such

This being my first Wikipedia page, I hope you have as much fun reading it as I have writing it. I have recently become interested in clicking the "Random article" link due in part to my job at which I have time to do such things. Now I just have to find something that I can edit in a meaningful fashion blah blah blah.

[edit] Who I am

I was born in western Mass (and no, I still can't spell the state's name). My family and I moved to Kentucky when I was about 12, then to Indiana at age 14. I am now 19 years of age and enjoy my current environment. I grew up without a television. Therefore, my main love has always been more in the realm of fiction and literature rather than what's new on mtv. Math is my favorite subject, second only to anything involving computers; which naturally leads me to this fall when I will be attending Purdue University majoring in computer science.

[edit] Things I love

Despite not owning a television, that hasn't stopped me from enjoying two of the best cartoons ever created: invader zim and family guy.

I LOVE to read. Perhaps the most interesting book I've read recently is Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. A classic if there ever was one. Flatland was also very, very interesting. My favorite authors include Isaac Asimov, Robert Heinlein, and Orson Scott Card. A sci-fi buff is me!

Programming is my joy. I can spend hours just reading the source files on various c++ projects and javascript pages. Why? Because I enjoy being a nerd.

Games: Settlers of catan, axis and allies, Deadly_Rooms_Of_Death, kingdom of loathing, and many many card games.
