Chad Wesley Smith was born on February 7, 1978 in Dearborn, MI to Thomas Joseph Smith and Cathy Colleen Diamond.

Chad Smith was graduated from Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, TN on May 5, 2003 with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology.
Chad also attended Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, FL.
Chad was graduated from Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Comprehensive High School in Fort Oglethorpe, GA on June 6, 1996.
