Talk:Charlotte Gilbertson
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Charlotte Gilbertson is an American artist listed in Who's Who 2002. She was also a student of the French artist Fernand Leger whose works have been displayed at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Charlotte was also a friend of Andy Warhol and appeared in his film, "Kiss". I am updating her biography with more comprehensive and neutral information. - Please provide sources to establish the subject's notability. Thanks. --Evb-wiki 15:11, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- Maybe we should at least be informed whether she paints houses, fences, portraits, abstract, or by numbers. --Evb-wiki 16:51, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
The notice that this article lacks sufficient sources has been removed. In the external links section, the artist's notability has been cited in other reputable publications including AskArt.com, the Bodley Gallery exhibition listing, and the Mantle listing of American artists. In addition to Charlotte Gilbertson's inclusion into Who's Who in America 2002, I believe there are enough sources to establish her notability. - She is indeed notable; however, the need for sources goes beyond notability. Facts must be attributed to a reliable source. This is especially true for a biography of a living person. --Evb-wiki 01:25, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
