In India the dish is never (IMHO) referred to as chana massala. it is always Chole (cholay). chana massala in hindi would refer to the spice powder (massala) itself. Chana massala is largly a western term , in context of the dish as a whole. Being a subtle difference this has largely gone unchallenged in media.

Chole currently redirects to this page. We could consider reversing that so that this page redirects to chole and move its contents there. What do others think? --Vince 18:57, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
