Chaunsa
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Chaunsa is a variety of Mango grown in different parts of the world originally from Rahim Yar Khan and Multan in Punjab, Pakistan.
The flesh of this mango is firm, fibreless, has a pleasant flavour, and sweet taste with moderately adundant juice. The gold coloured fruit is generally of good quality and keeps well. The chaunsua is in season from July to September, with ripened fruit by August.
Even all Pakistani mangoes are rich in Vitamin A, C and D and other antioxidant vitamins, but Chaunsa is considered to be the king of all mangoes in the region. The reason of its popularity is its rich taste and one of the best fruit smells in the world. That is why its exports to the other countries are increasing each year.
