Chatfield Senior High is a high school located in Jefferson County, Colorado near Littleton. It is part of the Jefferson County Public Schools system.
Chatfield Senior High School opened in the Fall of 1985; there was no senior class its first year. The school's first graduating class was the class of 1987. During construction on Columbine High School after the Columbine High School massacre, students from Columbine High School attended classes at Chatfield.
Chatfield's athletic rival is Columbine. Chatfield is notable as the alma mater of Katie Hnida, a female football kicker who played at the University of Colorado at Boulder and later at the University of New Mexico. Hnida was the principal kicker for Chatfield's football team during her senior year. Chatfield has also produced well-known athletes such as Ryan Vena, LenDale White, and Chris Crosby. Chatfield's Marching Band is among the top in state each year, having placed 7th in 2005 and 10th at the 2006 competition. Chatfeild's Pom Squad also took 1st in league for the 2006-2007 year.
