Charly is a 1980 novel by Jack Weyland, and among the earliest examples of contemporary LDS fiction. The plot details a romance between a Latter-day Saint BYU student, Sam, and his free-spirited non-Mormon love interest, Charly.
Two sequels to the book have been written: Sam (1987), and Adam's Story (2004), about Sam and Charly's son.
Charly was made into a feature film in 2002.
