The Charlottesville Amtrak Station, located in Charlottesville, VA, is served by the Cardinal and Crescent passenger trains. The street address is 810 West Main Street, along Business US 250, between the University of Virginia and downtown Charlottesville.

The original Union Station was built in 1885 to jointly serve the Charlottesville and Rapadan Railroad, the Virginia Midland Railway, and the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway. Major renovations in 1915 included the construction of a baggage handling facility, which serves as the Amtrak ticketing office and waiting area since 1999. The main facility has been privately developed since that time for commercial use. Plans coincident with the redevelopment to create a transportation hub at Union Station have not been brought to fruition as of mid-2005, as other plans for such a hub remain under consideration.
