Charlotte Public Schools

Charlotte Public Schools is a school district in Michigan. Mr. Carl R. Ellinger is the current superintendent of schools. Charlotte is the county seat, with a population of approximately 8,500. The district covers an area of 124 square miles with a total enrollment of over 3,350 children. The schools are accredited by the North Central Association.

Many students are dual enrolled in traditional high school and Lansing-based Community College classes, as well as Intermediate School District vocational programs.
Charlotte Middle School link 5-8 1049 Chris Rugh, Principal; Jack Von Achen, Vice Principal motto “’’Prepare for Success’’” First opened for the 2002-2003 school year. (Students in grades 6-8 were previously served by Charlotte Junior High School.)
Galewood Elementary School link K-4 226 Therese Edwards motto “’’Our Roots Start Here’’” The motto is inspired by twelve two-hundred year old oaks that grow in the school grounds.
Parkview Elementary School link K-4 456 Kim Caudell School mascot is the Oriole.
Washington Elementary School link K-4 333 Thom Ritezma School mascot is the Oriole; although in the early 90s, it was the Wildcat.
Weymouth Elementary School link K-4 247 Tim Vagts motto is “’’We care’’” Inspired from We care about ourselves, We care about each other, We care about quality work, Weymouth Elementary begins with “WE”.
