Charlie Y Charlie

Charlie Y Charlie is a Puerto Rican reggaeton duo. It was formed by Carlos and Charles Lopez. They met in 2004 on an U.S. Air Force Airfield, while conducting duty. They utilized a cell phone riger to freestyle and discover each others talents. Immediately, Charlie Y Charlie proceeded to record their first collaboration using only a desktop computer and a karaoke microphone. Determined to stand out, they promoted themselves, and performed at all the top night clubs in Hawaii. Not willing to just sit down and wait for an offer from the music industry, Charlie Y Charlie formed their own record label, "Tru Grind Music Group, L.L.C.". With overwhelming support from the Hawiian community, Charlie Y Charlie are often referred to as Hawaii's Reggaeton Duo.
The group released their first album "Not Signed" in February of 2006. Acclaimed, for their energetic performances, Charlie Y Charlie Are called upon to represent the Latino community in Hawaii.

These two young individuals of Puerto Rican Decent are also well-known for their contributions to upcomings artists in Hawaii.
- Charlie (born as Carlos Jose Lopez) was born in Bronx, New York on July 1981. Raised in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, He was exposed to music from an early age, playing various instruments in his father's church. and also obtained a degree in computer sciences in the InterAmerican University Of Puerto Rico. He is often called Syke da Magician.
- Charlie (born as Charles Lopez) was born in Trenton, New Jersey on December 1985. Raised in Hartford Connecticut, he is the backbone of the catchy lines and phrases of Charlie Y Charlie. Currently in the U.S. Air force, he distinguishes himself by volunteering as a "Raven" providing selfless efforts in securing assets. He is often called Chilo.
They chose the name Charlie Y Charlie because they both grew up with the nickname, "Charlie".
