From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Charlie Parr is a country blues musician hailing from Duluth, Minnesota, the legendary birthplace of Bob Dylan on the windswept western shore of Lake Superior. His influences include blues greats such as Charlie Patton and Bukka White, and also folk masters like Reverend Gary Davis and Dave Van Ronk (to whom Greg Brown has compared Charlie). Full-length albums include 1922, Criminals & Sinners, King Earl (2004), Rooster (2005), Backslider (2006). Charlie has also been featured on a variety of compilations, including a recent one of Dylan covers performed by Duluth musicians [1]. Charlie plays a National resonator guitar and a 12-string guitar in the piedmont blues style.
