Charles Yorke, 5th Earl of Hardwicke

Charles Philip Yorke, 5th Earl of Hardwicke, PC (April 23, 1836May 18, 1897), was controller of the household of Queen Victoria and Master of the Buckhounds 1874–1880. He married Sophia Georgiana, daughter of Henry Richard Charles Wellesley, 1st Earl Cowley, in 1863.

In 1879 Charles had a horse race, the Hardwicke Stakes, named after him.
