Charles Ramsay Arbuthnot

Charles Ramsay Arbuthnot (5 February 1850 – 30 September 1913) was a British Admiral in the Royal Navy.
Born in Liverpool in England, he was son of George Clerk Arbuthnot and Caroline Ramsay Hay, and grandson of Sir William Arbuthnot, 1st Baronet. Earlier in his career, Arbuthnot served as Captain of the protected cruiser HMS Hermione. He was further Aide-de-Camp to the King.
On 8 January 1880, Arbuthnot married Emily Caroline Schomberg, daughter of Rear Admiral Charles Frederick Schomberg. They had three children, two daughters and one son, Admiral Geoffrey Schomberg Arbuthnot.
