Charles R. Alcock

Charles R. Alcock is the current director of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Alcock earned his PhD in astronomy from the California Institute of Technology in 1977. He was previously the Reese W. Flower Professor of Astronomy at the University of Pennsylvania.
Alcock earned the Beatrice M. Tinsley Prize in 2000.
