Charles Newell Carter

Charles Newell Carter (born 9 May 1967) is a Democratic politician from North Carolina; he served two terms in the North Carolina General Assembly.

Carter was born in Asheville, North Carolina and graduated from Asheville School. He earned a bachelor's degree in international studies and history from Oglethorpe University and after which he taught at the public schools of Buncombe County. Carter became a member of the North Carolina Senate in 1998 and served through 2002. Recently opened several Port City Java's in the Asheville area.
