Charles Lawson

Charles Devenish (Charlie) Lawson (born September 17, 1959 in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland) is a television actor.

Lawson was educated at Campbell College in Belfast, where he developed a love of acting. He then went to Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Lawson is probably most well known for the role of Jim McDonald (who was from Belfast) in Coronation Street. He also played Bill McQueen in Doctors, Yizzel in Bread and Alan McCourt in The Bill.

Charles Lawson was banned from driving for two years at Kirkcudbright's Sheriff Court. He had admitted driving on January 28, 2007 with a breath alcohol figure of 113 microgrammes (Daily Mirror Feb 9, 2007).
