Charles Hays Secondary School (CHSS) is a public secondary school located in Prince Rupert, British Columbia. The school serves a student population of approximately 600 students in grades 8 to 12. Besides the usual complement of academic and fine arts courses, CHSS offers extra-curricular sports and opportunities for students to become involved with their community.

Charles Hays Secondary School was opened in 1992 at its present location, replacing the antiquated Booth Memorial Junior Secondary School. The school is named after Charles Melville Hays, president of the Grand Trunk Railway and founder of Prince Rupert. The railway was the primary reason for the founding of Prince Rupert.

The school is one of two high schools in Prince Rupert. It is run by School District 52 Prince Rupert, which is a public school district of the province of British Columbia.

From its opening in 1992 until June 2005, the school was led by Principal Skip Cronck. After Cronck's retirement, vice-principal Sandra Jones took over the role of Principal. Kevin Leach and Ken Minette are the school's part-time vice-principals.

The school's mission statement is "Charles Hays Secondary School is dedicated to creating a school community in which all of its members see themselves as both learners and teachers working together to create a problem solving school."
