Charles Francis Stein, III (9 October 1933-8 February 2006) was a Baltimore, Maryland lawyer and sailboat racing skipper.
According to his February 13, 2006 obituary in The Baltimore Sun, he was born in Baltimore, Maryland and attended the Gilman School. He was awarded a degree in political science from Princeton University in 1955. While attending the University of Virginia Law School, he contracted polio and dropped out, but later graduated in 1960. He practiced law in Baltimore, was a champion sailboat racer on the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic seaboard, and was a member of the Gibson Island Yacht Squadron and the Sailing Club of the Chesapeake Bay.
