Charles Dubin

Charles L. Dubin, OC , O.Ont , QC , LL.D (born 1921) is a Canadian lawyer and former Chief Justice of Ontario.

He received a BA from the University of Toronto in 1941 and an LL.B from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1944.

In 1973, he was appointed to the Ontario Court of Appeal. In 1987, he was appointed Associate Chief Justice and Chief Justice in 1990. He served until 1996.

He served on two Royal Commissions: the Royal Commission to Inquire into the Use of Drugs and Banned Practices Intended to Increase Athletic Performance (1988) and the Royal Commission to Inquire into Aviation Safety in Canada (1979).

In 1997, he was made an Officer of the Order of Canada and was awarded the Order of Ontario.
