Charles "Mr. Casual" DeChant is the saxophone and keyboard player for Hall & Oates. He has been playing in the band since its inception in the early 1970s and is most noted for his saxophone solo in "Maneater." Charles DeChant also plays with several local bands in Orlando, Fl; his home town. He is an accomplished saxophonist, he also plays the flute, piano and guitar.
This jazzman has been playing excellent, smooth jazz-style sax for some time now ... and has finally decided to take his medium to the masses on his own terms. For years, DeChant played with '80s greats Hall and Oates, touring with them and featuring his talent on their albums. In addition, DeChant also built his solid reputation by playing with superstars like Mick Jagger, The Temptations, Tina Turner, Billy Joel, Bonnie Raitt, and The Average White Band. Now that he has entered the prime of his musical career, DeChant is now flexing his music muscle as a writer, producer, and solo artist.
