Charles Cornelius Smith

Charles Cornelius Smith (known simply as Charles Smith; born August 22, 1975 in Fort Worth, Texas) is a professional basketball player currently playing with Real Madrid Baloncesto in Spain.
He has also played for the Denver Nuggets, Portland Trail Blazers, the Miami Heat, the Los Angeles Clippers, and the San Antonio Spurs, and starred in European national leagues with Makedonikos Kozani, Virtus Bologna and Efes Pilsen SK. With Italian team Scavolini Pesaro, in 2005 he won the first-ever Alphonso Ford Top Scorer Trophy as the best scorer in the 2004/05 Euroleague.
Collegiately, he was a star at the University of New Mexico, and he played high school ball at famed Dunbar High School in Fort Worth. He is also known as "the Spider" or "Spider Smith" due to his wingspan being much longer than his height (7 feet long wingspan when he only 6'4").[citation needed]
