Charles Fraser Comfort (1900 – July 5, 1994) was a Canadian painter, sculptor, teacher, writer and administrator.

Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, he moved to Winnipeg in 1912. During World War II, he was a war artist. After the war, he taught in the Department of Art and Archaeology at the University of Toronto. From 1960 to 1965, he was Director of the National Gallery of Canada.

In 1972, he was made an Officer of the Order of Canada.
