[edit] Plot
After the Pointy-Haired Boss swats a fly on the wall, leaving a stain, he decides that he needs a new plaque to cover the spot and so he volunteers to be the county coordinator for the Associated Way charity drive, a play on the American Way.
At the company charity kickoff meeting, Wally is appointed to be a company charity coordinator and Dilbert, after expressing misgivings about the appropriateness of the charity carnival, is appointed to chair the carnival.
At a charity luncheon receiving a plaque for the boss, Dilbert objects to the efficiency of organized charities, causing an end to all charitable giving. Meanwhile, Alice quits her job and gives away all of her possessions, convinced that she cannot claim to be moral if she still has money in the bank.
During the carnival, the boss climbs onto the dunk tank, which is called the Dunkin' Booth, referencing Dunkin' Donuts in the tank's logo, where he is subsequently pelted with baseballs. Dilbert performs CPR on him and this selfless act causes a rebirth of charitable giving.
