This is the list of all the credited cast from the two shows:
- Duncan MacLeod (Adrian Paul) - Main character of Highlander: The Series. An over 400 years old Immortal, guided by a strong sense of honor. Appearances: Highlander: The Series, Highlander: Endgame, Highlander: The Source.
- Tessa Noël (Alexandra Vandernoot) - Duncan's long-time mortal girlfriend. She was killed by a mugger in the second season episode ("The Darkness") of Highlander: The Series. Appearances: Highlander: The Series.
- Richie Ryan (Stan Kirsch) - Introduced to the series as a petty criminal, he was revealed to be an Immortal and became Duncan's protégé. He was accidentally killed by Duncan in the episode ("Archangel") of Highlander: The Series. Appearances: Highlander: The Series.
- Randi McFarland (Amanda Wyss) - Annoying TV reporter, who was always bothering Duncan, Tessa and Richie about their constant involvement in criminal cases. She left the show in the middle of the first season in the episode ("Band of Brothers"). Appearances: Highlander: The Series.
- Amanda (Elizabeth Gracen) - A 1200 year old Immortal and Duncan's lover on more than one occasion. She's the main character of Highlander: The Raven. Appearances: Highlander: The Series, Highlander: The Raven.
- Joe Dawson (Jim Byrnes) - MacLeod's Watcher. He becomes a close friend to MacLeod and his friends. Appearances: Highlander: The Series, Highlander: The Raven, Highlander: Endgame, Highlander: The Source.
- Charlie DeSalvo (Phillip Akin) - A mortal friend of MacLeod's who didn't know about Immortals. He found out about Immortals from Duncan when he was dying from injuries inflicted by Immortal Andrew Cord (Wolfgang Bodison) in the episode ("Brother In Arms")of Highlander: The Series. Appearances: Highlander: The Series.
- Maurice (Michel Modo) - A mortal friend of MacLeod's who lived in a boat next to Duncan's barge in Paris and later owned a restaurant and a jazz bar. He was the comic relief in most episodes. Appearances: Highlander: The Series.
- Dr. Anne Lindsey (Lisa Howard) - A mortal doctor who was Duncan's girlfriend in the third season. In the beginning she was unaware of Immortals, later, however, she found out about Immortals, and being unable to deal with it she and Duncan separated, but remained good friends. Appearances: Highlander: The Series.
- Methos (Peter Wingfield) - The legendary 'oldest Immortal', found to be living secretly among the Watchers. Once discovered by Duncan, they become good friends. Appearances: Highlander: The Series, The Methos Chronicles, Highlander: Endgame, Highlander: The Source.
- Nick Wolfe (Paul Johansson) - An ex-cop who befriended Amanda and together solved crimes. He was the co-star of Highlander: The Raven. Appearances: Highlander: The Raven.

- Connor MacLeod (Christopher Lambert) - Duncan's clansman and best friend; he was Duncan's first Immortal mentor and is often referenced throughout the series by Duncan.
- Sargeant Powell (Wendell Wright) - A Seacouver police officer whose cases seemed to always involve MacLeod and Richie, in the first season.
- Commissioner Comanski (Jay Brazeau) - A Seacouver police officer who suspected of MacLeod's involvement in several crimes, in the first season.
- Sergeant Bennett (Tim Reid) - A Seacouver police officer whose investigations always had Duncan MacLeod as a suspect or witness.
- Darius (Werner Stocker) - A 2,000 year old Immortal who lived as a monk who was beheaded by Hunter James Horton.
- Inspector LeBrun (Hugues LeForestier) - A French inspector whose cases always had Duncan MacLeod as a suspect or witness, in the first season.
- Hugh Fitzcairn (Roger Daltrey) - Duncan MacLeod's Immortal friend; he was beheaded by Kalas in the episode ("Star-Crossed").
- Carl Robinson (Bruce A. Young) - An African-American Immortal friend of MacLeod's who was once a slave.
- Rebecca Horne (Nadia Cameron) - Amanda's first teacher; She was killed by fellow student Luther (Emile Abossolo M'bo) in the episode ("Legacy").
- Sean Burns (Michael J. Jackson) - He was an Immortal dedicated to healing the mind and was a friend of MacLeod's. Burns was beheaded by Duncan when he was under the influence of the Dark Quickening in the episode ("Deliverance").
- Cassandra (Tracy Scoggins) - A 3,000 year old Immortal known as the "Witch of Donan Woods" who possessed magic abilities.

- Xavier St. Cloud (Roland Gift) - MacLeod's arch-enemy in the first two seasons; he was killed by MacLeod in Unholy Alliance Part 2.
- James Horton (Peter Hudson) - A renegade Watcher, Horton was the leader of The Hunters, a group of Watchers whose goal was to kill Immortals. He became obsessed in killing MacLeod but died at his hands in Counterfeit Part 2.
- Kenny (Myles Ferguson) - An 800 year old Immortal, with a body of a ten year old boy. He tried to behead MacLeod twice in the third and fourth season but failed and was able to escape.
- Kalas (David Robb) - MacLeod's arch-enemy, in the third season, who was killed by MacLeod in Finale Part 2. .
- Kronos (Valentine Pelka) - Kronos was part of theFour Horsemen along with Methos, Silas (Richard Ridings) and Caspian (Marcus Testory) — the most terrible Immortals that ever existed. MacLeod killed him in Revelation 6:8.
- Ahriman - The evil zoroastrian demon prophesied to be destroyed by a chosen one: Duncan MacLeod. He was destroyed by MacLeod in Armageddon.

- Lucy Becker (Patricia Gage) - Amanda's old mortal friend.

- Rebecca Horne (Nadia Cameron) - Amanda's first teacher always remembered by her. She appeared in flashbacks with used footage from Highlander: The Series.
- Joe Dawson (Jim Byrnes) - Amanda's Watcher friend. He revealed to Nick Wolfe who the Watchers were.
- Father Liam Riley (Robert Cavanah) - An Immortal priest who lives in Paris.

- Andre Korda (Valentine Pelka)- Amanda's former mentor who tried to kill her but lost his head to her instead.
- Crysta (Ellen Dubin) - Andre Korda's associate who lost her head to Amanda.
- Derrick Markham (Stephen Billington) - Amanda's evil ex-husband who was killed by Amanda.
