Chapel Hill High School (Georgia)

Chapel Hill High School was established as the fourth high school in Douglas County, Georgia in addition to Douglas County High School, Lithia Springs Comprehensive High School, and Robert S. Alexander High School. The school opened in 1999 and has earned a strong reputation for both academics and athletics. Chapel Hill High School is located in Douglasville, Georgia. Chapel Hill High School is about 30 miles west of Atlanta, Georgia. Chapel Hill High School is a public high school in the Douglas County School System. The school mascot is the panthers and the school colors are purple, gold, and white although black is often used as a replacement for gold.

Chapel Hill High School is slightly more academically competitive than the average school in the Atlanta Metropolitan area. In 2005 at Chapel Hill High School 72% of its students passed the science section of the GHSGT (Georgia High School Graduation Test) compared to a state average of 68%. 96% of its students passed the English Language Arts section of the GHSGT compared to a state average of %95. 95% of its students passed the math section of the GHSGT compared to a state average of 92%
