Chants d'Auvergne

Chants d’Auvergne (Songs from the Auvergne) is a collection of folk songs from the Auvergne (province) region of France collected and orchestrated by Joseph Canteloube between 1923-1930. The orchestration is for soprano voice and classical in style and is characterized by an open, spacy feeling.

The songs are in the local language, Occitan.
