In the children's book Chanticleer and the Fox, Barbara Cooney adapted the story of The Nun's Priest's Tale from Chaucer's Canterbury Tales and illustrated it. Released by Crowell in 1958, it was the recipient of the Caldecott Medal for illustration in 1959.[1]
