Chandrika

Chandrika is a leading Malayalam newspaper run by Indian Union Muslim League, Kerala. It is published from Kozhikode and was the first attempt to have a newspaper from Malabar Muslims to support the political party. It was establihsed on 1930s and it has recently celebrated its Silver Jubilee.
Chandrika is published from Kozhikode. Former Kerala Chief Minister Mr. C.H. Muhammmed Koya had put a lot of his effort to modernize the newspaper to the one which we see today.

Chandrika Newspaper first started publishing from Tellicherry during the age of Bafaqi Thangal and Seethi Sahib who were the main drivers of the press. Then later it is brought to Kozhilode.
Chandrika Office is now located in Kozhikode in YMCA road. C. K. Thanoor is the editor and it has press units and editions at Kozhikode, Kochi, Kannur and Mumbai. Chandrika also has a Middle East Chandrika which is printed from Dubai.
