Chandhala Kesavadasu is the first lyricist in the history of Telugu Film Industry.
He penned the song Thanaya Itulan Thagadhura Palukaa…for the film Bhakta Prahlada that was released in the year 1931. He also penned other two other songs Parithaapambu.. and Bheekarambagu Naa.. in the same film. The famous Parabrahma Parameshwara.. that has been dancing on the lips of drama artistes before the beginning of a drama was written by Chandhala Kesavadasu. Another song Bhale Manchi Chowka Beramu.. was also written by Kesavadasu.
