The Chama cha Demokrasia na Maendeleo (Party for Democracy and Progress) is a conservative political party in Tanzania.

At the 2000 legislative elections, the party won 4 out of 269 seats in the National Assembly.

In elections held on 14 December 2005, CHADEMA presidential candidate Freeman Mbowe placed third out of ten candidates, winning 5.88% of the vote. The party won five seats in National Assembly elections held on the same day.
