With an elevation of 282 feet above sea level Chalk Hill is the 3rd highest point in Louisiana.[citation needed] It is a part of the Pine Hills near Kisatchie National Forest and it end the Pine Hills on the eastern part. Just like Eagle Hill does on the western zone. It is located two miles south of Rosefield, Louisiana and 23 miles east of the Kisatchie National Forest.[citation needed]
