Chako Rescue
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Chako Rescue Association for the American Pit Bull Terrier is an advocacy group for the American Pit Bull Terrier founded by attorney and author Dawn Capp. The CRA puts on free breed education seminars for dog owners, goes to schools to teach children about dog safety, and uses dogs as therapy and service dogs. Dawn Capp and the CRA have actively been involved in the fight against Breed-specific legislation and opposed SB 861, the bill allowing breed-specific discrimination in California that was introduced by Senator Jackie Speier.
