Chad Robert Orvella (born October 1, 1980 in Renton, Washington) is a relief pitcher for the Major League Baseball Tampa Bay Devil Rays. He was the early favorite for becoming the Devil Ray's closer in 2006, however he struggled in spring training and was sent down to AAA Durham. Replacing reliver Chad Harville in late August 2006, Orvella assumed a role on the Rays as a reliever.
