[edit] High School Years

Morton attended South Torrance High School in Torrance, Calif. and was a letterman in football.

[edit] College career

Morton was a running back for the University of Southern California Trojans in the late-90's. Known as "Little Chad" to many USC faithful for his diminutive size, he was the heart and soul of many of USC's weakest teams in the last several decades. Despite his diminutive size, he was a warrior between the tackles, driving through the line for extra yards after contact that would only be expected of players much larger.

As the younger brother of wide receiver, Johnnie Morton, Chad was always in his brother's shadow, especially since he played on teams that had much less success than Johnnie's earlier teams.

Because of his heart and not because of his frame, Chad Morton has had a solid NFL career as a kick returner and third-down back for many years, but will always be remembered for his standout years as the Trojans unheralded leader.

[edit] Professional career

Chad Morton was a first alternate to the 2005 Pro Bowl as a kick returner. On February 13, 2007, he was released by the Giants.
