[edit] Educational Background
I attended Brigham Young University from 1993 to 2002, with a two-year break in 1995-1997 to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Yekaterinburg, Russia. I finally graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science in April of 2002.
[edit] Professional Background
Since May 2002 I've worked as a Software Design Engineer for Microsoft. I work in the Windows division on the NTFS file system. During my time at BYU I worked as a database programmer and system administrator for uSight, a web developer and database programmer for BYU's Center for Instructional Design, and a network administrator for BYU's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, though not all at the same time! From the summer of 1999 until my graduation I worked at Microsoft on three summer internships, all within the Windows division.
[edit] Hobbies and Interests
I have two main hobbies these days. I like to collect and play with LEGO bricks. See my page at LUGNET or my personal LEGO page for more information. I also like to play Dungeons and Dragons.
I also enjoy SCUBA diving, Fencing, and other things.

I was born in Provo, Utah, USA in 1975. I lived in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada for a year and a half, starting kindergarten there. In late 1980 my family moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma, USA. My parents still reside there, where my father works as a research chemist for ConocoPhillips.

I'm a new Wikipedian, having joined the project in September of 2004. I'd seen references to Wikipedia on Slashdot several times, but never really checked it out. After browsing for a couple of days, I thought I'd try my hand at editing the Russian grammar article, since it was missing several sections. I think the notion of a free encyclopedia maintained by volunteers is very interesting.
