Greetings from Charles F. Radley in Oregon, USA.

I do not understand why most wikipedians hide behind a cloak of anonymity, I find it reduces the credibility of the contribution if a person's credentials cannot be viewed. In the original internet collaboration tool, which was Usenet, users were generally expected to post their contact information. But then in chat rooms people started to post anonymously using handles, which often hid evil intent. I am disappointed that the culture of anonymous handles has infected Wikipedia, and I have a low opinion of people who pretend to be experts but refuse to identify themselves.

It is appropriate for minors, below the age of consent to be anonymous. But not for mature adults.
