CFMG is a Canadian radio station, broadcasting at FM 104.9 in Edmonton, Alberta. Branded as 104.9 EZ Rock, the station plays a soft adult contemporary format.
Their current on-air line up includes Shane Michaels, Cheryl Brooks and Robin Allan in the morning, Music Director Jill Matthews on the mid-day show and Ron Clark on the afternoon drive show. The station also features a number of syndicated personalities, including John Tesh and Delilah.
104.9 EZ Rock is Edmonton's only radio station playing soft rock favourites. The station launched in 1978 playing "oldies" from offices and studios just north of Edmonton in St. Albert.
Since being acquired by Standard Radio, the EZ Rock community profile has skyrocketed. With a combination of heritage programs and new initiatives EZ Rock is very involved in its market. Each November, along with sister stations CFBR and The Team 1260, EZ Rock broadcasts live for 2 days from the Stollery Children’s Hospital. In year one, $300,000 was raised for the Pediatric Oncology Unit, in year two, EZ Rock and her sister stations raised $500,000 for Research. The station is also known for the EZ Rock Christmas Party for Single Parent Families where families in need are treated to a very special Christmas.
Programmed by longtime Edmonton broadcaster Steve Moore, EZ Rock is a station designed to appeal to office work environments. Music is slanted towards female listeners 25-54 and features two staples of evening radio in North America, John Tesh and Delilah.
