CFIX-FM

CFIX-FM is a French-language Canadian radio station located in Saguenay, Quebec.
Owned and operated by Astral Media, it broadcasts on 96.9 MHz using a directional antenna with an average effective radiated power of 47,600 watts and a peak effective radiated power of 100,000 watts (class C).
The station has an adult contemporary format and is part of the Rock Détente network which operates across Quebec and Eastern Ontario. It started operations in 1986 as a sister station to the now-defunct CJMT 1420, which closed on September 30, 1994 when the Télémédia network and the Radiomutuel network merged to form the Radiomédia (now Corus Québec) network. CFIX-FM became part of the Rock Détente network in 1992.
