Centro Colonnades is one of the largest shopping complexes in Adelaide, South Australia. The mall is located in the Onkaparinga suburb of Noarlunga Centre. Collonades is located on a large allotment of land with frontages to Goldsmith Drive, Beach Road and Burgess Road.
The centre contains two supermarkets (Coles and Woolworths), several department stores (Kmart, BIG W & Harris Scarfe), as well as a Cheap as Chips, JB Hi-Fi and Best and Less and approximately 200 specialty stores. The mall also contains a Diners Life food court, and Fresh Life and Market Fresh sections, promoting fresh food sale.
Centro Colonnades was built in 1979, and after it was acquired by Centro in 2003, was ready for a major AU$120 million expansion, which and has seen the old small Woolworths taken away, with a new, larger one being built, as well as a new Big W. As well as these changes, the 3 level Harris Scarfe store was reduced in size, with a major renovation, removing all escalators and lifts from the store. Harris Scarfe now only occupies the lower floor, while the second floor was divided up to form JB Hi-Fi, Best and Less and Cheap as Chips. The third floor, however, has become a mystery, with a lift going down to the ground floor from level 2, when level 3's button is pushed.
Myer
A new Myer is proposed to open at the Centro Colonnades shopping centre in 2007. It will replace the existing Harris Scarfe store, which will be remodeled and rebranded before opening. It is unknown to the general public how big the store will be, and which Harris Scarfe floors it will take up. Some speculations are that Myer will take up Levels 1 and 3, others say just Level 1 and others say just Level 3. It is yet to be confirmed how big the store will be and which floors it will take up.
