Centre for the New Europe

The Centre for the New Europe (CNE) is a free-market think thank located in Brussels, Belgium. It was founded in 1993 by the Belgian journalist Paul Belien and lawyer Fernand Keuleneer, with operations starting in 1994.

The Centre for the New Europe is a partner of the International Policy Network and a member of the Stockholm network.

Since 2003, the CNE holds also an annual ball, the "Capitalist Ball", that in a short time has become a main society event in Brussels, and where is given the Adam Smith Award.
