Junior Hockey

The Central Penn Panthers are a member of the Atlantic Metropolitan Hockey League (AMHL). The AMHL consists of two levels of junior hockey: the AJHL which competes at the Junior 'A' level, and the MJHL competing at the Junior 'B' level. The Central Penn Panthers Hockey Club competes at the Junior 'B' level. Junior hockey is the pinnacle of the skill development program of USA Hockey, and is an important component in the overall development process for elite players. For many, Junior Hockey is a stepping stone on the path to future success at the collegiate, professional, and international levels of hockey.

At the Panthers, our goal is to provide young men the opportunity to further their education while participating in one of the top Junior 'B' leagues in the United States. Competition within the Metropolitan Junior Hockey League is fast-paced, and provides players the opportunity to advance their skills in preparation for the next level, and offers many opportunities for advancement to Junior 'A' within the AMHL. The Panthers are looking for those players who have made the commitment to improving their game to the highest level possible and who are ready to face the challenge of Junior Hockey.

Youth Hockey

The Central Penn Panthers Organization is a member of the Atlantic Youth Hockey League (AYHL) and competes at the Tier I 'AAA' level. Tier I hockey is the highest level of competition for youth hockey in this area. The AYHL is a member of USA Hockey, and follows the same guidelines for developmental youth hockey as the current Tier II 'A' program you may be more familiar with, only at a higher level of skill and competition. Each year, the AHYL places more players into USA Hockey Select Programs for the Atlantic District than any other program in this region.

At the Panthers', our number one goal is player development within a competitive environment. We strive to accomplish this through skill emphasis, increased ice time, greater off-ice concentration and consistent exposure to a highly skilled level of competition. The Panthers are looking for those players who have made the commitment to improving their game to the highest level possible and who are ready to face the challenge of 'AAA' hockey.
