Central Luzon State University

Central Luzon State University or CLSU is a state university located in a 658-hectare campus in Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. The University is the lead agency of the Muñoz Science Community and the seat of the Regional Research and Development Center in Central Luzon. To date, CLSU is one of the premiere institutions for agriculture in the Philippines and in Southeast Asia known for its breakthrough researches in aquaculture, ruminants, crops, orchard, and water management researches.[1]

History== CLSU was established in 1907, then going under the name Central Luzon Agricultural School or CLAS. In 1954, CLAS was transformed to Central Luzon Agricultural College or CLAC with a mission to promote agricultural education.

The Central Luzon State University as a model comprehensive institution of a higher learning dedicated to service and excellence.

  1. To develop students to posses not only academic competence but also life long competencies that prepare them for leadership roles.
  2. To provide knowledge and skills necessary for individual communities and national development such as entrepreneurship, innovativeness and advocacy among others.
  3. To develop students with integrity and commitment, a strong sense of nationalism, concern for the environment and civic consciousness.

CLSU is composed of eight colleges namely

  • College of Business Administration and Accountancy
  • College of Education
  • College of Engineering
  • College of Fisheries
  • College of Home Science and Industry
  • College of Veterinary Science and Medicine

In addition, it also houses a University Science High School and an Institute of Graduate Studies.
