Central High School (Pollok, Texas)

Central High School is a high school for grades 9-12 in the unincorporated community of Pollok, Angelina County, Texas and is the only high school in the Central Independent School District. As of 2006 it has some 468 students.
Ethnically the school is predominantly "white, non-Hispanic" (83%, well above the state average of 38%) and only 26% of students are classed as economically disadvantaged, compared to a state average of 55% (2004-5 figures [1]). As of 2006 the Texas Education Agency rates the school as "Academically Acceptable".
