Centier Bank has been in the North and Northwest Indiana for over 110 years.

Originally named Bank of Whiting, then switched to First Bank of Whiting, then switched to Centier Bank in the early 90's.

Centier currently has over 40 locations in North and Northwest Indiana, they also over many in-store locations with 7 day a week banking for more customer convenience.

Centier employs over 600 workers which are located mainly in their branches, but have a large number of employees located at its operations center and operations annex located in Merrillville, Indiana.

Michael Schrage is the banks President and CEO. The bank remains family owned and Michael Schrage is the 4th generation to lead the bank.

Centier has one of the largest market shares in its region at around 22% only behind Chase whose customer base is steadily declining in the region.

Despite constant offers by other banks to buy them out Centier has been and plans to stay family owned, and uses the slogan "Not For Sale."
